WEEKGOALIE – QUICK START GUIDE

New to WeekGoalie? This guide will walk you through everything you need to get
up and running in under five minutes — from signing in to tracking your first
goal.

SECTION 1: SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE

WeekGoalie uses your Google account to keep your goals safe and synced. No
passwords, no account creation — just tap and go.

STEPS:

TIP: First time signing in? WeekGoalie automatically creates your profile,
sets up default goal limits, and seeds four starter categories so you can
start organizing immediately.

SECTION 2: ADD YOUR FIRST GOAL

Adding a goal takes just a few seconds. Look for the + button (floating action
button) in the bottom right corner of the goals screen.

STEPS:

NOTE: The + button is only visible when you are viewing today’s goals. If you
don’t see it, use the arrow buttons or the calendar icon to navigate back to
today’s date.

SECTION 3: DAILY VS WEEKLY GOALS

WeekGoalie has two types of goals, each suited to a different planning horizon.
Switch between them using the Daily and Weekly tabs at the top of the screen.

DAILY GOALS
Tasks you want to accomplish on a specific day. Use the Daily tab to view and
manage day-by-day goals. Navigate between days using the back and forward arrow
buttons, or tap the calendar icon to jump to any past date.

WEEKLY GOALS
Bigger objectives you want to complete over the course of a week. Use the
Weekly tab to set goals that span a full Monday-to-Sunday week. Navigate
between weeks using the same arrow buttons.

TIP: A good practice is to use weekly goals for bigger-picture items —
like “Finish the project proposal” — and daily goals for the smaller steps
that move you toward them.

SECTION 4: TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Every goal card gives you two ways to update progress, plus a place to log
notes as you work.

STEPS:

TIP: Viewing a past day? You can still see all your old goals by navigating
back with the arrow buttons. Past goals are read-only, but you can tap
“Copy to Today” on any past goal to bring it forward to the current day.

SECTION 5: ORGANIZE WITH CATEGORIES

Categories let you color-code your goals so you can tell at a glance what area
of your life each goal belongs to. The goal card background is tinted with the
category color when assigned.

WeekGoalie comes with four default categories to get you started:
Personal, Financial, Learning, and Health.

SECTION 6: SET UP REMINDERS

Never forget to check your goals. WeekGoalie can send you a daily reminder
and/or a weekly reminder (every Monday) at a time you choose.

STEPS:

NOTE: Make sure WeekGoalie has notification permissions enabled in your phone’s
system settings, otherwise reminders will not appear. On Android 13 and later,
the app will ask for permission automatically on first launch.

SECTION 7: WHAT’S NEXT

You’re all set! Here are a few more features to explore as you get comfortable
with WeekGoalie.

WEEKLY SUMMARY
Get a bird’s-eye view of how your week went. Tap the hamburger menu and select
“Weekly Summary” to see goals set vs completed, a completion percentage
breakdown, and your 30-day average completion trend. Use the arrow buttons to
browse any past week.

BADGES
Complete goals to earn badges. Check your Profile screen (tap your initials
in the top left corner) to see which badges you’ve unlocked so far. More badges
are on the way.

RECYCLE BIN
Deleted goals aren’t gone forever. Find them by tapping the hamburger menu and
selecting “Recycle Bin”. From there you can restore a goal back to your list,
or permanently delete it.

GOAL LIMITS
You can cap the number of active daily or weekly goals you’re allowed to have
at one time. Go to your Profile screen and adjust the Daily Goal Limit and
Weekly Goal Limit sliders, then tap Save Limits.

SORT AND FILTER
On the goals screen, use the Sort and filter chips below the date bar to sort
your goals by priority, effort, completion, date, or alphabetically. Filter to
show only completed or only incomplete goals.
